Use the Retin-A Micro gel pump exactly as your doctor tells you to use it.
Your doctor may change your Retin-A Micro gel pump dose if you have skin irritation. Usually, before you apply the Retin-A Micro gel pump, gently wash the affected skin area with mild, non-medicated soap. Rinse and pat your skin dry. Apply the Retin-A Micro gel pump once a day in the evening or as prescribed by your doctor.

Do not use more Retin-A Micro gel pump than you need to cover the affected area; do not apply Retin-A Micro more than once a day. Using too much Retin-A Micro or too often will not give you faster or better results, and you may get skin redness, peeling, or discomfort.

After applying the Retin-A Micro gel pump, you may have a brief feeling of warmth or slight stinging. Early in your treatment, you may get new pimples. It is important to continue using the Retin-A Micro gel pump at this stage.

Tell your doctor and pharmacist before taking Retin-A Micro Gel Pump

If you have any of the following:

• If you are allergic to it or any other medications, 
• If you have eczema, actinic keratoses, skin cancer, or other skin conditions.
• If you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding. 

Plan to avoid unnecessary or prolonged exposure to sunlight or ultraviolet light and to wear protective clothing, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Retin-A Micro Gel Pump may make your skin sensitive to sunlight or ultraviolet light.

The most common side effects of Retin-A Micro gel pump may include:

• skin pain, redness, burning, itching, or irritation,
• sore throat,
• mild warmth or stinging and
• changes in the color of treated skin.

How to apply a Retin-A Micro gel pump?

Apply Retin-A Micro gel as your doctor directs. Usually, it completely depresses the pump to apply a thin and even layer of Retin-A Micro gel over the affected area with a fingertip. Wash your hands after applying Retin-A Micro gel.

What should I do if I forget a Retin-A Micro gel pump dose?

Apply the missed Retin-A Micro gel pump dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not apply extra gel to make up for a missed dose.

What are the side effects of the Retin-A Micro gel pump?

A brief sensation of warmth or stinging may occur immediately after applying the Retin-A Micro gel pump. Skin redness, dryness, itching, scaling, mild burning, or worsening of acne may occur during the first 2-4 weeks of using the Retin-A Micro gel pump. These effects usually decrease with continued use. A daytime moisturizer may be helpful for excessively dry skin.
